...how long a nickel can hide.
most people lose their spare change in a car or a couch. this one, however, was lost in a flower bed.
here is the story of a lost nickel: (this needs to be read like a news reporter)
at savannah's birthday party when she turned twelve, her friend and her brother were flipping a coin over something. the nickel promptly fell in the flower bed. because it was dark, they could not find their beloved nickel. they asked and looked for the longest time. their nickel was not found. today, almost two years later the nickel was found.
wow. i can't believe it took that long. i'm not even sure anyone would take the nickel if you tried to pay someone with it. the nickel is all brown and red and you can barely see the outline of the President.
it's impressive

what a was up to...and other random things
Wednesday...ward volleyball game, and homework. Do you want to know what that homework was? It was kind of like making words out of scrambled letters but, it was words and we were putting them in amazingly stupid sentences.
Thursday...school, and then finishing homework, also from English, that was writing a book report that had to be more than 100 words but less than 150. Do you know how hard that is??? When you have to have a lot of things like theme, plot, characters, beginning, ending, setting, character traits, etc. Mine was too long four times and when my teacher "checked" it I had ended a sentence with a preposition. Darn those prepositions. I mean seriously, how do you say "when they arrived at the hotel they were going to stay at,..." without ending with a preposition?
Friday...school, three tests (Math, Band, and oh yes, English), babysitting, no candy for me (insert crying here)
Saturday...Valentine's Day, cleaned my room, vacuumed a couple of rooms, practiced piano for an hour, went to a 'practice recital' for an hour, got home, folded three batches of laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, had five minutes to go grass sledding before I went babysitting. Highlight of my day: Chocolate covered cake on sticks and German chocolate cake in a chocolate bowl with chocolate on top. All from the people I babysat for. How nice of them for homemade treats. They were delicious! I guess babysitting on Valentine's Day pays off!
Today...church, got asked to teach piano to a little blind girl in our ward. I think its so cool that she wants to learn piano. She is so sweet and I would love to teach her except I'm clueless on teaching piano AND I ESPECIALLY don't know how to teach someone who's blind. Suzuki Method anyone?
Funny story...for some reason unknown to me my dad was telling someone that Vinegar was a base. I had to correct him on that. No Dad, Vinegar is an acid! :p
Also funny, the video on Ryan's blog. My mom was laughing so hard she was crying. If you haven't got a chance to watch it, I suggest you do. Its HILARIOUS!

birthdays, lock downs, and tests. oh my!
Yes. You heard me right. I said lock down. We had one today. Well it was a mock one so Randi its okay. You don't have to freak out on me.
So in social studies we had our lock down today. This is where the test comes in. All of us were in a corner basically sitting on each other. Some of us were taking our test while others of us were doing our homework. So here we all are with our knees to our chins trying to read books and write with our arms in position similar to that of a T-Rex. You know they have really short arms that don't bend very well. Yeah, try writing like that but then add the knees to the chin part. Pretty much impossible isn't it? That was awkward (considering we were, like I mentioned before, sitting on each other).
Despite all that I just want to say happy birthday to my awesome skateboarding/artist cousin. D is 9 today! I think it is so cool that you did all those cool skateboarding tricks. But please refrain from killing yourself. Don't die because you're trying to be even more awesome than you already are. And to your drawing skills...Dude! I am so jealous! The funny thing is I had to draw a poster of the "Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima" picture around the same time. I wanted to call you and ask you to do it for me because mine was horrifically terribble! You are AWESOME!!! And I love you Derek! Hope you have/had a great one!

Ouch
I know I said that I didn't care, but the Cards did come really close. I feel pretty bad for them.
Oh well, the Super Bowl and the Cards are no longer a part of my life.
Until next time Cardinals!

Super Bowl Sunday
I don't really care who wins Super Bowl XLIII. But, I do have to say that the Cardnals were the Underdogs and look what happened, they are at the Super Bowl. I guess we'll just have to wait and see who wins. Maybe it will be like the Diamondbacks against the Yankees at the World Series. You just never know.
